Narrow Road are looking for an experienced full time Agent’s Assistant to join our team working from our Covent Garden office.

The ideal candidate will have:

previous experience of working at a talent agency, casting director’s office, publishing house or production company.
excellent communication and administrative skills
literacy in digital/social media
a friendly but professional manner
experience of Tagmin and Spotlight
a knowledge of existing casting directors
comfortable handling a high volume of work, prioritising well and performing tasks under time pressure with a sharp eye for details
a genuine passion for theatre

ASSISTANT

BWH are looking for a new full time member of staff to join their team to assist all agents and help with general day to day operations.

Based at our office in Margaret Street W1, the right candidate will need to be organised, efficient, good at multi-tasking, an excellent communicator, and have a great eye for detail.

Tasks will be varied and multiple and could include any and everything from organising travel to hosting guests at the theatre, updating social media and liaising with clients and casting directors.

We are not looking for a new agent but rather someone who will take pride in facilitating the smooth running of the team.

Experience with Tagmin is useful but not essential. Training will be given and a competitive salary is to be discussed dependant upon experience. The start date is asap.

Tavistock Wood – Assistant to Agent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant to support the senior agent at Tavistock Wood. Tavistock Wood is a talent and literary agency that represents and advises artists of outstanding talent and international reputation.

The role of an agent’s assistant centres around ensuring the smooth running of the agent’s office through effective organisation and exceptional client care. Client promotion, seeking new opportunities across the industry globally and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does. The successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of each of the client’s work and specific requirements building loyalty to Curtis Brown.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; exceptional organisational skills; a keen eye for detail and accuracy; resilience and adaptability; and an enthusiasm for film, theatre and television. Whilst this role is collaborative in its nature and will involve working closely with the Agent, there is also regular level of independent working, and so our ideal candidate will have confidence using their initiative and problem-solving autonomously. Some experience in an administrative role would be useful, and some experience working within the creative industry, e.g. in a talent/casting agency or in a supporting role for a television/film department of an agency, would be beneficial although not essential as we will provide the relevant training and support.

Salary Range: £26,000 per annum

Assistant to Talent Co-Agents

Do you have a passion for the world of theatre, film and television? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant to support a busy division at Curtis Brown, covering a broad spectrum of the industry.

The office is currently made up of 2 Agents and 1 Associate Agent. During this contract, you will be supporting 1 Agent and 1 Associate Agent whilst the other Agent is on maternity leave. This role centres around supporting the team to
ensure the smooth running of the office through effective organisation and exceptional client care. This is an admin-heavy role that will be focused on the effective management of the office and personal schedules but will also be front facing with clients and industry professionals.

We are looking for a full-time assistant with excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, efficient organisational skills, a demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for theatre, film and television, and a desire to work as part of a busy and thriving division. Some previous work experience within the creative industry, and an understanding of repertoire would be beneficial,
although not essential.

Please note, this is a fixed-term contract for a minimum of nine months.

Salary Range: £26,000 per annum
Start Date: As soon as possible

Admin Assistant to Talent Agents

Assistant to Agent, Production Arts

UTA are looking for an Assistant to work with a Production Arts Agent. The Production Arts Agent represents film, TV and short film clients.

The Assistant will have previous experience working within the Film and TV industry and be able to demonstrate an ability to work within a fast-paced and high-pressured environment.

You will be responsible for managing both your Agents’ and Clients’ schedules, seeking new opportunities across the industry and quickly gaining an understanding and knowledge of clients’ work and specific requirements, ensuring the smooth running of your Agent’s office.

What You’ll Do:
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Managing the Agent’s inbox in an efficient, timely and proactive manner.
• Scheduling meetings/agendas for agent, preparing logistics and documentation for meetings as required.
• Creating schedules for client trips.
• Proactively resolving enquiries or escalating as appropriate.
• Providing cover for the agent when they are away from the office.
• Answering the phone, transferring calls to agent, taking messages and covering for colleagues when they are away from their desks.
• Processing invoices, tracking client working hours/days, submitting client expenses and other basic accounting tasks on an ad hoc basis, working closely with our Accounts team.
• Maintaining client and business contact details, sending out terms of business as required.
• Building and maintaining relationships with production companies and other business contacts, attending client screenings as required.
• Reading and watching material on an ongoing basis and discussing observations/opinions with colleagues in the department.
• Submitting material and following up on proposals made by the agent.
• Setting up and co-ordinating meetings for the agent and their individual clients.
• Supporting the agent on updating client showreels, web pages and CVs when required.
• Assisting management with immigration needs, such as immigration forms, assigning sponsorship certificates for clients travelling to the UK, and maintaining current passport copies.
• Attending client screenings as required, developing business relationships.

What You’ll Need:
• Previous experience within the industry (production, theatre, film and/or television) is desired.
• Strong interest in the visual arts would be beneficial.
• General understanding of the entertainment industry and the nature of a talent agency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
• Discretion at all times, particularly when dealing with sensitive client matters.
• Experience and knowledge of the existing BECTU film and television agreements would also be beneficial.
• Experience of using social media platforms.
• Ability to prioritize a busy workload.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.

• Previous administrative / diary management experience is essential.
• An interest in the world of film and TV (someone who is interested in reading scripts, and eventually working with directors and writers).
