Floating Assistant – Comedy Department

Floating Assistant – Comedy Department – 12 month fixed term contract

United Agents Ltd (UA) is one of London’s leading talent agencies encompassing the worlds of film, TV, books, theatre and comedy. We’re currently looking to hire a Floating Assistant to join our successful and busy Comedy Department.

As the dedicated Comedy Floating Assistant, you will work support all offices within the department, providing holiday cover within Agent’s offices when necessary. This is a very busy department supporting Agents who work with award winning writer-performers, comedians, actors, producers and directors – as such, there’s never a dull moment.

 
Responsibilities:

– Handling a high volume of emails and calls from clients and industry professionals e.g. producers, commissioners and casting directors. 
– Going to see clients in comedy, theatre, screenings
– Organising meetings/ auditions/ client self-tapes.
– Ensuring client CV’s and bios are up to date.  
– Building client material, putting together showreels.  
– Client submissions via Spotlight and on email.  
– Processing contracts, issuing invoices and keeping track of payment.   
– Script reading on behalf of and alongside Agents/clients.
– Diary management for the Agents and clients - which is often complicated in nature as often clients work across more than one discipline.
– Providing full administrative support to the department.
– Attending comedy previews and work in progress shows.
– Providing admin support to our inhouse Live Producer on live comedy shows.

Key qualities and skills:  

– A real passion for and enjoyment of comedy, film, television and theatre is essential.
– Very strong attention to detail and organisational skills.    
– Trustworthy and accurate as will be dealing with highly confidential material and client information.
– Fantastic communication skills.  
– Be able to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and prioritise accordingly.
– The ability to build strong working relationships across the whole department.
– A can-do attitude, the willingness and ability to learn.
– The ability to remain calm under pressure.    
– A good listener, intuitive and adaptable.
– A good sense of humour.
– Previous industry experience in a talent agency or casting directors’ office desirable but not essential.

Agent’s Assistant

We are looking for an Agent’s Assistant to add to our thriving, expanding team.

This full-time role will be based in our office in Soho, starting in July.

The ideal candidate will have:

– Prior assistant experience, with a comprehensive knowledge of casting directors and provable experience within a talent agency or casting. We also welcome experienced candidates who have previously worked in production or the Arts who are genuinely motivated to make the move into a talent agency.

– Strong organisation, administration, and computer literacy (we are a Mac office).
– Knowledge and proficiency in Tagmin and Spotlight.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Experience and confidence in liaising with clients, casting, and industry.
– A proactive, friendly, and collaborative approach.

Film and TV Agent Assistant

At Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, we represent and manage many of the world’s best-known writers, directors, literary properties, and below-the-line talent in film, theatre, television and new media. We also strive to welcome new, exciting and powerful voices to our client roster, and we are strongly and vocally supportive of diversity and inclusion of marginalised groups within our industries.

We are looking for an Assistant to a Film and TV Agent who can provide excellent administrative support and who will also assist generally in the Film and TV department. Main duties include:
– Taking and fielding calls
– Managing the diary and setting meetings for your agent and their clients
– Keeping track of contracts (circulating for signature either physically or electronically, chasing up as necessary)
– Putting together Word document booking notices using information gleaned from contracts (training will be provided) including details of payments to be invoiced
– Organising travel/accommodation/meeting itineraries, for festivals or set visits
– Proactively providing information that is needed on companies/projects in advance of meetings. Ensuring that we have up to date details of where producers/execs currently work, and previous projects.
– Forwarding or handling festival invitations and press requests.
– Script reading and discussion on clients’ work
– Tweeting, updating the website and client CVs, creating and maintaining Vimeo profiles and content, sourcing publicity and production stills as needed
– Providing short pre-written client bios on request
– Reading and writing coverage on books and scripts
– Compiling lists, tracking submissions
– Taking minutes in meetings occasionally
– Making enquiries with publishers/publishing agents to discover whether film/TV rights are currently available
– Using Microsoft Word’s tracked changes tools to amend documents and to compare two versions of a document
– Working with the Finance team to stay on top of invoices and chasing payments.

Requirements:
– Knowledge of and interest in the Film and TV industry.
– Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
– A minimum of 6 months’ administrative experience in the Film and TV industry.
Experience & Skills
– Knowledge of Tracked Changes functions in Microsoft Word is advantageous but not essential.
– Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and forward-planning skills
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and confident telephone manner.

Assistant to Senior Talent Co-Agents

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant to support Co-Agents and Associate Agent in our Talent department at Curtis Brown on an 8-month fixed term basis.

This role involves working closely alongside an experienced Associate Agent, supporting two busy senior Talent Agents. It will involve delivering excellent client care and systems administration to maximise success for the Agent’s clients, provide best possible service to production and publicity partners, support the smooth running of the Agents’ Office, and build loyalty to Curtis Brown.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and a passion and enthusiasm for film, theatre and television. This role is the ideal opportunity for someone excited by the challenge of working for a busy office and the skill set to adapt, learn and assist efficiently.
You will have some previous experience in an administrative role, and some experience working within the creative industry, e.g. in a talent agency or casting agency, would be beneficial.

Creatives’ Agent Assistant

Assistant agent wanted for Creatives’ department of busy, friendly theatrical agency based in Covent Garden. Duties include assisting with day to day running of the department, assisting management of directors, designers, choreographers and other behind-the-scenes creative clients as well as updating our website and social media. We need someone who’s great with people, has a keen eye for detail, with excellent administration and organisation skills. Admin Assistant

CVH Management is a boutique agency representing an exciting list of creatives including Directors, Designers, Lighting Designers, Choreographers, Sound Designers and Video Designers. Our clients work internationally in theatre, opera, events and television.

We are looking for a Full Time Admin Assistant to support the team in delivering first-class bespoke representation.
The role includes:
– Managing visas and tax forms on behalf of the clients
– Social media management and website maintenance
– Diary management and organising of attendance at press nights
– Providing excellent client care, liaising with clients when dealing with general enquiries
– Dealing with biographies and marketing requests
– General administrative support

The ideal candidate must fulfil the following criteria:
– Have previous office experience in the theatre industry and/or related field
– Be highly organised

– Have a keen interest in theatre and performing arts

The voice over division (HHUSH) at Hamilton Hodell is looking for an experienced full time agent assistant /junior voice agent to join their growing team in Soho.

This is a fast paced and focussed role which will focus on a bespoke list of voice over talent within the theatrical agency. You will be working alongside a voice over agent, under the guardianship of the commercial and voice over team at Hamilton Hodell.

This is a dynamic division and the company centres around precision, detail and timely actions and response.

Your role will include the following;
Running of the HHUSH office including administrative duties and supporting the team as you work across voice over in commercials, documentary narration, audio books, video games and new media.

The role will require the use of initiative as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines and seize opportunities. Important attributes include; excellent written and verbal communication. Faultless organisation skills and time management. It is essential that the candidate has an innate interest in the audio side of the entertainment industry, as well as a keen ambition to develop within the talent/advertising space.
