Senior Agent’s Assistant

Victoria Lepper Associates is looking for an experienced full time Senior Agent’s Assistant to join their team. This is a hybrid position WFH/office based (Bedford).
The successful candidate will be ambitious, have exceptional organisational, written and verbal communication skills and be calm and collected. We’re looking for someone who has had previous experience of working at a talent agency, casting director’s office, publishing house or production company, who has a genuine passion for Film, TV and the Arts.
Knowledge/proficiency in Tagmin, Spotlight and Microsoft programmes (word and excel) is essential. We are a MAC using office.
The ideal candidate will have:
• excellent multi-tasking, communication and administrative skills
• experience in digital/social media
• well organised when working to and achieving deadlines
• discretion whilst dealing with highly confidential material in a trustworthy and accurate manner.

Receptionist, Front of House (Maternity Leave Cover)

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to provide maternity cover on a fixed term basis, joining our Front of House team. This role involves greeting visitors at Reception, ensuring cover for the company’s main switchboard and a variety of administrative duties. These duties are shared between both Receptionists.Our ideal candidate will have some previous experience in this role, preferably within the creative or arts industries. You will be well organised, with the ability to work under pressure and an articulate communicator.

Salary Range: £25,000 – £27,000 dependent on experience

Agent – Midlands based

Current Vacancy – Agent

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving actors agency in Derby/Notts. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, self-motivated Agent to join our sociable team within the fast-paced entertainment industry. The agency currently has approximately 90 clients across stage and screen with a focus on the Midlands alongside London and the rest of the UK.
Experience working as an Agent or in an admin capacity within an agency, casting or production environment is strongly preferred. Candidates must have experience in the entertainment industry. If the successful candidate brings digital marketing or voice over / motion capture experience to the role, we would seek to integrate this into our business.
Frequent telephone and video calls will be required therefore a confident and professional telephone manner is essential.
One of our founding principles is to provide high levels of client support, this is a key aspect of the role.

The Role:
Work alongside the existing senior team with support from our assistants to manage the careers of our clients across stage and screen.

Salary:
Dependent on the successful candidates level of experience but exceeding the ‘Real Living Wage (London weighting)’.
Hours:
32 hours per week (plus overtime ‘urgent cover’ on rotation). Office hours: Monday to Friday 10.00am – 6.00pm. There can be some flexibility around these hours if necessary for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include:
Dealing with everyday queries – many and varied!
Managing job offers, contracts and ongoing job administration.
Submitting clients for jobs via Spotlight and direct emails / phone calls to casting directors.
Advising clients and attending client catch-up meetings.
Liaising with casting directors, producers etc.
Watching and submitting client self tapes as well as providing constructive feedback where appropriate.
Researching upcoming projects on stage and screen.
Assessing new client applications.
Attending monthly senior team meetings and actioning tasks as identified.

The Candidate – essential requirements:
A passion for the arts.
Midlands based and prepared to work from an office in the Derby area as well as ‘work from home’ (both will be required).
Arts management / production / performance degree or significant related experience in the field.
Broad knowledge of the industry – agency, casting or production environment is desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
Office administration experience – the role will require the use of cloud based software including Google Drive, Gmail, spreadsheets, documents, Spotlight and Tagmin (a database software for Agents).
An understanding of an actor’s needs and experiences.
Strong independent and collaborative working skills.
Ability to work flexibly if required.
The desire to watch shows and attend press / opening nights, etc. (including outside of normal working hours).
A commitment to growing a thriving business through investment of time and dedication.

About Ashrow Talent Management:

Agent’s Assistant – Film, TV & Theatre Department

Floating Assistant – Actors Department

Our Floating Assistants work across all offices within our Actors Department, providing additional support and holiday cover within Agent’s offices when necessary. Social Media Co-ordinator

We’re currently recruiting a Social Media Co-ordinator, reporting to the Social Media Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is able to work at a pace with exceptional attention to detail supporting our high-profile clients.

Responsibilities – Social Media

-Assisting the Social Media Manager in planning, executing, and maintaining all social media activity for United Agents.
-Actively collate social media stories from across the company, across all departments and re-format into a useable social media format.
-Attend all departmental weekly meetings.
-Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies. For example, Departmental Q&A’s, competitions etc.
-Measure and report performance through social analytics.
-Identify social media trends (hashtags) and act on them accordingly, when appropriate.
-Graphic design – the ability to create engaging static imagery and engaging sharable videos.

Responsibilities – Website

-An understanding of maintaining multiple websites across a number of platforms
-Train and support new members of staff on how to use the website fully.
-Work with the Social Media Manager and the web developers to maintain the website’s functionality and provide recommendations where necessary.
-Offer general support to members of staff in all web-related issues.
-Checking that all news stories and any outward facing content follows house rules; and to help assistants to understand and use house rules where necessary.

Desirable skills

-Social media knowledge and conscious of upcoming trends.
-Have a passion for the entertainment industry (Film, TV, Theatre etc.)
-Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Premiere and other editing software is a plus.

Talent Agent Assistant

The successful candidate will be supporting Alice Coles in her office, to ensure the clients receive the best possible service. As their assistant, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a talent agency to hit the ground running, have a ‘can do’ attitude and ideally have basic knowledge of contracts and relationships with Casting Directors or their assistants. You will be working on a list of established, senior clients as well as an exciting growing list of up-and-coming talent. You will need to be a passionate, hard-working person who is excited about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced team and take your career to the next level.

Duties (some of):
o Reading scripts and providing breakdowns
o Answering calls; speaking to and dealing with clients and industry professionals
o Support with scheduling client’s diaries with auditions, ADR, travel, press etc
o Handling queries for and on behalf of clients
o Tagmin admin, including auditions, tapes, invoicing and diaries
o Editing clips and showreels
o General admin support and office responsibilities
o Scouting for new talent
o Office duties (shared among assistants)

What you need (essential):
• Experience at a talent agency (min 2 years – this role is right for someone who has previously assisted a senior agent to a high level).
• A knowledge of and relationships with Casting Directors and their assistants
• Basic PACT/Equity contract knowledge – television, film and theatre.
• Experience of using Spotlight
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Tagmin, experience using it a big plus.
• Great organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• A positive can-do attitude
• Strong IT skills
