Talent Agent’s Assistant for TELEVISION and FILM (full-time position)

Job description:

Global Artists is recruiting a Talent Agent’s Assistant to support Kate Marston’s office. You will need to have an interest and knowledge of the talent industry, and be ready to hit the ground running, by calling out auditions and managing clients’ needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about television, film and theatre, and possess a front-footed approach to their work. A strong work ethic is paramount, so too is the ability to think creatively and proactively.

Skill requirements:

• Producing and processing clients’ self-tapes within our in-house studio.
• Editing clips and showreels.
• Proficiency in Spotlight, Tagmin and posting on social media platforms.
• General administrative duties, including providing support with invoicing, diary management, self-tapes etc.
• Confidence in answering the telephone to clients and industry professionals.
• Handling queries for and on behalf of clients.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
• Strong social and communication skills.
• Scouting for new talent, including attending graduate showcases.
• Set and theatre visits.

Client Accountant – Actors Department

United Agents Ltd (UA) is one of London’s leading talent agencies encompassing the worlds of film, TV, books, theatre and comedy.

We are recruiting for a full-time accounts person to join our busy client accounting department, servicing the Actors division of our business. The candidate must be enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and enjoy working with numbers. Some knowledge of SUN accounting would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

Main duties to include:

– Dealing with monies received for the clients of the Actors division
– Processing of all fees to client’s accounts/ledgers
– Processing of client recharges
– Bank reconciliations
– Processing of all monies in various currencies
– Twice weekly payment runs
– Sending of overseas payments via our Coutts banking system
– Raising VAT invoices and chasing VAT payments on behalf of clients
– Liaising with clients/purchasers to solve queries
– Providing relevant account information to client’s accountants
– Journal postings/corrections
– Liaising with agents about incoming monies
– Other ad-hoc administrative duties as directed

Skills required:

– Proficient in Microsoft Excel
– Analytical/keen eye for detail and accuracy a must
– Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
– Fast learner
– Able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team

The role can be adapted to the level of experience of the candidate and the salary will reflect this.

Agent’s Assistant – Actors/Comedy Department

United Agents Ltd. (UA) is one of London’s leading talent agencies encompassing the worlds of film, TV, books, theatre and comedy.

We are looking for a full time Agent’s Assistant to join an Agent’s office within the Actors/Comedy Department. You will be an integral member of the team supporting an Agent who works with award winning writer-performers, comedians, actors and directors. This is a very busy office and as such, there’s never a dull moment.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail with the ability to adapt and multi-task. This role requires someone calm and collected with a good sense of humour, a team player who is a natural communicator on the phone, in writing and in person.

 Responsibilities:

– Handling a high volume of emails and calls from clients and industry professionals e.g. producers, commissioners and casting directors. 
– Organising meetings/ auditions/ client self-tapes.
– Ensuring client CV’s and bios are up to date.  
– Building client material, putting together showreels.  
– Client submissions via Spotlight and on email.  
– Processing contracts, issuing invoices and keeping track of payment.   
– Going to see clients in live work, TV records and screenings.
– Script reading on behalf of and alongside Agent/clients.
– Diary management for the Agent and clients - which is often complicated in nature as most clients work across more than one discipline.
– Providing full administrative support to the Agent and clients.
– Liaising with US teams on clients that have US representation.
– Supporting clients in-person, as well as identifying potential new talent, at events and festivals, such as the Edinburgh Fringe.
– Attending comedy previews and work in progress shows.
– Working alongside our inhouse Live Producer on live comedy clients.

Key qualities and skills:  

– A real passion for and enjoyment of comedy, film, television and theatre.
– Very strong attention to detail and organisational skills.    
– Trustworthy and accurate as will be dealing with highly confidential material and client information.
– Fantastic communication skills.  
– Be able to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and prioritise accordingly.
– The ability to build strong working relationships with Agent and other members of the department.
– A can-do attitude, the willingness and ability to learn.
– The ability to remain calm under pressure.    
– A good listener, intuitive and adaptable.
– A good sense of humour.
– Previous industry experience in a talent agency or casting directors’ office desirable.

Accounts Assistant

At Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, we represent many of the world’s best-known writers, directors, literary properties, and Heads of Department talent in film, theatre, television, and new media. This is a newly created role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. You will work as part of a team supporting the smooth operation of the accounts department. Ideally a minimum of two years previous experience with a good understanding of accountancy and book-keeping.
Main duties:
– Reconciling currency accounts £ € $US $AUD
– Maintaining spreadsheets
– Allocating bank receipts for all currencies £ € $US $AUD against client invoices
– Checking client royalty statements against contracts for accuracy
– Preparing Client ledger accounts
– Processing client’s bookings onto the accounts system and issuing invoices on their behalf
Experience and Skills:
– At least two years’ experience working in a similar role, ideally gained within a creative SME.

Talent Agents Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Artists Partnership is recruiting a new role for the business to support its exciting plans for growth. Based in London, the working environment is collaborative, ambitious and friendly. They are looking for someone with strong administrative skills, but is also passionate about the arts.

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be supporting Saskia Mulder’s office, to ensure the clients receive the best possible service. As their assistant, you will need to have experience in a talent agency to hit the ground running, have a ‘can do’ attitude and ideally have basic knowledge of contracts and relationships with Casting Directors or their assistants. You will be working on a list of high-end clients as well as an exciting growing list of up-and-coming talent. You will need to be a passionate, hard-working person who is excited about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced team and take your career to the next level.

Duties (some of):
o Reading scripts and providing breakdowns
o Answering calls; speaking to and dealing with clients and industry professionals
o Support with scheduling client’s diaries with auditions, ADR, travel, press etc

o Tagmin admin, including auditions, tapes, invoicing and diaries

Assistant to Actors’ Agent

We are looking to recruit an Agents’ Assistant to proactively
support the busy day to day running of their business.

Media Rights Agent

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Media Rights Agent to join our Media Rights Team at Curtis Brown.

The purpose of this role is to represent and sell the Film and TV rights for authors as represented by the Curtis Brown Group. The role will involve building relationships with our authors, Estates and talent represented by the agency, collaborating internally with all agents at Curtis Brown, attending meetings and working with our colleagues and UTA, as well as liaising extensively with external networks to maximise the commercial potential of creative projects.

We are looking for an Agent with a wealth of experience in media rights and of managing multiple creative projects across different areas of IP. Our ideal candidate will have extensive networking abilities; a significant knowledge of Film/TV/Production Companies; an understanding of the industry and trends; an ability to generate ideas and bring projects together; strong contractual knowledge; and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Please note this role is currently based on a hybrid working pattern which involves a mix of working from home and from our central London offices. This is envisaged to continue in the medium term but is subject to ongoing review.

The successful candidate will ideally have proven experience in an accounts department, preferably in an Agency, and a good understanding of the administrative needs of an Agency for Heads of Department for Film and TV drama.
