Maternity Cover

Hamilton Hodell are looking for an experienced candidate to cover a maternity leave for one of the TV/Film/Theatre Associate Agents in the CEO’s office.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in a high level of contract and industry knowledge, and experience working within an agency. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a “can- do” attitude and excellent communication are essential along with exceptional organisational skills and a knowledge of Tagmin is desirable but not essential. In addition, a knowledge of and relationships with Casting Directors and their assistants is preferred.

Full time Contract position currently with a Feb 2023 start date.

Junior Assistant

Runner – Actors Department

Runner – Actors Department – 12 month fixed term contract

We’re currently looking to hire an additional Runner to join our successful and busy Actors Department.

Our Runners work across all offices within our Actors Department, providing additional support and holiday cover within Agent’s offices when necessary. The role requires someone who can multi-task in all areas of talent management – dealing with a wide range of clients, casting directors, producers and the media.

The role requires someone who is hugely adaptable and has great attention to detail, and would suit an individual keen to take the next step in their career, working with a number of high profile offices.

We’re looking for a candidate with exceptional organisation, written and verbal skills who has a good knowledge of film, television and books. A can-do attitude is important, as is proficiency in the use of MS Office. It would be helpful if the successful candidate has at least one year’s experience either having worked in an agency or casting and be happy to turn their hand to anything.

Assistant to Presenters Agent

Foreign Rights Assistant – Books Department

Foreign Rights Assistant – Books Department – 12 month maternity contract

United Agents LLP (UA) is one of London’s leading talent agencies encompassing the worlds of film, TV, books, theatre and comedy.

We are looking for a full-time Assistant to support three Foreign Rights Agents in the Books department on a 12-month maternity contract. This is a very admin heavy role involving good organisational skills and attention to detail. A love of books and effective, warm communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will provide general administrative support, including processing contracts, tax forms, raising invoices, chasing overdue payments and preparing rights guides and other sales material. This role is based in our London office but a hybrid working week is available for applicants needing flexible working.

Responsibilities:
– Deal follow through admin: Responsible for all deal follow through for two agents and some for third agent – which includes among other things drafting and processing contracts, liaison with authors re double-taxation forms, raising and chasing invoices, supplying material and/or information requested by publisher.
– Saving press and other sales material: Saving reviews and keeping press sheets up to date with new reviews, foreign sales and publication dates
– Rights guide: Responsible for putting together the adult rights guide twice a year for London and Frankfurt Book Fairs
Book fair admin – All admin associated with booking both London and Frankfurt Book Fairs, including arranging book fair schedules, Agents Centre applications forms, booking flights and accommodation where applicable and organising couriers.
– Agent trips: Responsible for scheduling meetings for any trips taken by any agent and any other admin associated with such trips.
– Permissions: Responsible for all foreign language permission requests.
– Accounts Department: Responsible for liaison with the accounts department, helping them process money, obtaining payment details, chasing overdue debts and any other help they might require.
– Primary agent support: Responsible for any primary agent support needed by one agent (this is minimal)
– General ad-hoc support to the Foreign Rights Agents

Qualities and Skills:
– Ability to work accurately at speed.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Positive attitude combined with a willingness to learn and desire to get things done
– Prior experience in a literary agency/publishing industry would be beneficial but not essential
– A knowledge of and love for books is vital

We are looking for a full time Assistant to support an Agent within the Technicians Department who represents below-the-line talent in theatre, film and television. Clients represented in this office include: Production Designers, Directors of Photography, Editors, Costume Designers, Hair and Make Up Designers, Composers, Choreographers, Lighting Designers and Sound Designers. This is a lovely opportunity to grow and develop your skillset as an Assistant in a busy, fast-paced and fun office.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, written and verbal skills and will need to be a strong organiser – confident, calm and collected. You will also need to be a good communicator as our work is done on the phone, in writing, and in person. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who already has experience either in a theatre, with a theatrical producer or working for a production company or literary agency.

Responsibilities:
– Invoicing, tracking and chasing payments.
– Processing electronic contracts and start forms
– Handling a high volume of emails and calls, both from clients and producers.
– Script reading on behalf of Agent/Clients.

– Logging and liaising on availability checks
– Ensuring client CVs are up to date and UA’s digital media is promoting client’s work often and accurately.

– Providing full administrative support to the Agent in terms of running their list and managing client relationships
– Diary management for the office, the agent and the clients 
– Attending opening nights and screenings where appropriate
– Booking international and domestic travel for the agent and sometimes for clients too.

Talent Assistant

Job Purpose:

In this role, you will be supporting one of our Talent Agents to ensure the clients receive the best possible service. As their assistant, you will need to have some experience to hit the ground running in this fast-paced team. You will be working on a list of established clients and an exciting growing list of up-and-coming talent too. They are looking for a passionate, hard-working person who is excited about the opportunity to work for a rapidly growing agency and take their career to the next level.

Duties (some of):
o Reading scripts and providing breakdowns
o Answering calls; speaking to and dealing with clients and industry professionals
o Support with scheduling client’s diaries with auditions, ADR, travel, press etc
o Handling queries for and on behalf of clients
o Tagmin admin, including auditions, tapes, invoicing and diaries
o Editing clips and showreels
o General admin support and office responsibilities such as diary management, office expenses, booking travel and conference calls
o Office duties (shared among assistants)

What you need (essential):
• A knowledge of and relationship with Casting Directors and their assistants
• Experience in a Talent Agency
• Basic PACT/Equity contract knowledge
• Spotlight knowledge
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Tagmin or similar
• Great organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• A positive can-do attitude

Previous experience in a Talent Agency is vital for this role.
