Assistant to Agent, Joe Phillips (Theatre, Film and Television Department)

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced assistant to support and work alongside an Agent in our Theatre, Film and Television (TFTV) department, representing writers and directors and handling literary material for the screen. Joe is also Co-Head of the TFTV Department at Curtis Brown and plays a role in the senior management team. This role centres around delivering excellent client care and systems administration and supporting the development of the Agent’s Office.

Promotion of the clients’ work, seeking out new opportunities for them both here in the UK and internationally, and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does, so the successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive knowledge of each of the client’s work and each client’s specific individual requirements. An important part of this job involves building relationships both with the clients and within the wider industry.

We are looking for someone with an authentic passion for and interest in film, theatre and television and the industry that surrounds it. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a Literary or Talent Agency, or in television, or film development. Please note this is not an entry-level role.

Assistant to Talent Agent

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant to support an Agent in our Talent Department, alongside two other Assistants. You will work alongside the other Assistants (one experienced and one more junior) and will cover each other’s role when necessary, as well as having an active role in supporting and training where required.

This role centres around delivering exceptional client care and systems administration in order to maximise success for clients, provide best possible service to production and publicity partners, support the development of the Agent’s Office and build loyalty to Curtis Brown.

The Agent represents a wide variety of clients including actors, presenters, comedians, and writers.

We are looking for someone with experience working as an assistant, and confidence in talking to casting directors and production companies. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and time management skills; an interest in and understanding of the use of social media; commercial and business sense; the ability to work interpedently and as part of a team with some supervisory responsibilities; and be passionate about comedy, television, film and theatre. Please note this is not an entry-level role.

Maternity Cover

Gemma Hirst Associates is looking for an experienced candidate to cover maternity leave for an Associate Agent providing agent services for a list of scriptwriters working across adult and children’s live-action and animation TV drama and comedy, as well as film and theatre. GHA is a boutique agency, and you will be part of a small team, working closely with the MD and Senior Agent, supported by a shared assistant and remote back-office team for IT and accounting.

This is a remote working-from-home position ideally within commuting distance of London in order to attend in-person meetings if possible in London approximately once a week and regular Zoom meetings with clients and producers. The candidate must have a high level of contracts and negotiation experience and industry knowledge, and be skilled at reading and reviewing client scripts and providing feedback. Experience working within an agency essential. Meticulous attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude and excellent communication are key along with exceptional organisational skills and a knowledge of Excel.

Full-time or 4-day week option available for a 7-month contract commencing in full in early January 2023 until the end of July 2023, with the possibility of an extension thereafter. Salary to be discussed.

Assistant to Talent Co-Agents

The role will also involve assisting on specific CBG administration and diary management tasks as and when required, maintaining strong working relationships with various members of the department, whilst remaining highly professional and acutely aware of the confidential nature of various conversations.

Assistant to Agent for theatre, film & TV creatives

The Soho Agency is a leading literary, theatrical and talent agency based in Soho, London.

We are looking for a new assistant to provide full time administrative and creative support for one of our Agents representing creatives, directors and writers working within our fun and dynamic theatre, film and TV department and to support the wider literary and talent agency. The ideal candidate will be energetic, confident, enthusiastic and able to work both independently and as part of a small team. They will be highly engaged with the entertainment and media industry with a particular interest in theatre, film and TV. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work calmly and flexibly with an understanding of the importance of excellent client service. A confidence working with numbers and accounting is also essential and with previous experience of working in an agency.

Job specification
• Administrative support to Agent in all aspects of their work.
• Invoicing and accounts processing using agency software (Bradbury Phillips) and working with accounts team
• Handling client and customer requests and enquiries
• Updating company website (biogs and news), client and agent diaries, records and systems
• Reading books and reporting on their potential to be adapted for TV, film or theatre. Helping prepare and collate pitches for book to film/TV submissions
• Assisting with contracts and seeing them through to completion.

Experience & Skills:

Senior Assistant

Identity Agency Group (IAG) is one of the leading talent agencies within the industry.

We are looking for a Senior Assistant ready to take the next step and grow within the team, to start late 2022.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a talent agency or within casting, who is extremely organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a great eye for talent. Senior Assistant

We are looking for a Senior Assistant with at least 12 months’ experience working in an agency or casting office. You will need to be ready to jump in to liaise with clients, casting and production, with a good working knowledge of all aspects of the industry to hand. Start date is flexible – though ideally soon. First and foremost, we are looking for the right fit, someone who can quickly adapt and integrate into the life of a busy office.
You should have excellent admin skills with experience of using both Tagmin and Spotlight. You should be a good communicator – both verbal and written – and be on top of managing your time and priorities.
You’ll need to work well as part of a team and be happy and confident using your own initiative in an occasionally pressured environment. You’ll need the ability to remain focused and organised with impeccable attention to detail. Talent Assistant

Job Purpose:
In this role, you will be supporting one of our senior agents and their associate to ensure the clients receive the best possible service. As their assistant, you will need to have some experience to hit the ground running in this fast-paced team. You will be working on a list of established clients and an exciting growing list of up-and-coming talent too.
