Accounting Manager

The Artists Partnership is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their fast-growing accounts team.

The Role:
In this role, you will be supporting the Head of Commercial with general accounting duties. As their Accounting Manager, you will be assisting with general ledger account reconciliations, as well as agency reporting. As one of the senior members of the team, we are looking for someone who has experience leading a small team. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail who is excited about the opportunity to work for a rapidly growing agency which is home to some of the world’s most renowned actors, writers, directors and creatives:

Duties:
• Assisting with the Sales and Purchase ledgers
• Assisting with bank account reconciliations and credit control
• Run payrolls and upload into the banking system
• Commission and agency reporting
• Helping with VAT and FEU returns
• Assisting with payroll duties
• Ad-hoc duties supporting the Head of Commercial

What you need (essential):
• Strong organisation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping
• Creative or entertainment industry experience
• Previous experience of working with multi-currency invoices
• Knowledge of SAGE
• Good Excel & Word skills.
• Management of a small team previously is crucial for this position

SENIOR ASSISTANT to CREATIVES’ AGENT

Agent (maternity cover)

Mostyn & Cross are a boutique actors’ management agency specialising in film, television, commercials and theatre.

We’re seeking an established Agent or experienced Senior Assistant looking to take the next step, to join the team as maternity cover for our lead agent, covering all departments.

We are able to offer a remote, flexible working (4-5 days) position for a period from 6 months – 1 year – dependant on the needs of the candidate.

The successful candidate should have at least three years experience working in an agency and be looking to take ownership of our client list, whilst managing our junior assistant.

Branding Agent (Maternity Cover)

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

An opportunity has arisen for a Branding Agent to join our Commercials team, providing maternity cover on a fixed term basis. There may be potential for a longer-term opportunity in the team, which will be reviewed in 2023.

This role works across the Talent department roster and will primarily lead on endorsement deals and social and digital partnerships, in collaboration with the primary acting agents and teams. You will be assisted by the Commercials Assistant and work alongside a Commercials Associate Agent.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culture, entertainment and talent partnerships, and will have existing relationships within this space. They will have a strong understanding of the brand and endorsement landscape and experience working on brand deals from brief, negotiate contract terms, managing shoot and approval processes. They should be highly motivated and excited by the prospect of managing a demanding workload effectively and contributing positively to the team around them.

Agents’ Assistant

NR1 Creatives is a busy theatrical agency representing non-performing creatives – directors, designers, choreographers, lighting, video, and sound designers – who work predominantly in opera, theatre, dance and film. We are based in Norwich, 10 minutes’ walk from Norwich Station.

We are looking for a full time Agents’ Assistant. The role centres around administration support of two busy agents, so we are unable to offer working from home. In house training will be provided. Following on from an initial interview we will provide a short task-based assessment.

Responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
• Providing full administration support to two agents
• Answering the telephone and fielding calls
• Client and agent diary management
• Letter writing
• Invoicing and assisting with payments
• General administration duties, including photocopying, filing, printing, post

Assistant in the Film & TV Department (Below the Line Talent)

● Accumulating notes in order to provide weekly reports

● Call list management: ensuring all Agents and Assistants are aware to return incoming calls
● Setting up client/ producer meetings as required
● Generally being a ‘gatekeeper’ for the Agency

● This is a solely office-based role located in the De Beauvoir Block, Dalston.
● Hours will be 9:30 AM to 6 PM with 1 hour lunch break.
● Experience of Macs essential along with Word, Outlook and Excel

This role is paid pro-rata, three days a week, working in-person from our offices in Mayfair.

The ideal candidate will:
• have experience working in a busy office environment
• have genuine enthusiasm for the industry, across television, film and theatre.
• have some knowledge of Tagmin, iMovie and Microsoft Office, although training will be given.
• have a calm and professional manner, a friendly demeanour and positive attitude.
• maintain an ability to prioritise and be proactive with tasks.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• logging incoming projects on Tagmin, availability checks and self-tapes.
• updating client CVs and our website.
• downloading and uploading clients’ tapes and showreels to Vimeo and Tagmin.
• collating and editing clients’ work from film and television projects.
• assisting and reading for client self-tapes in our studio.
• reading incoming scripts and creating breakdowns for the Agents.
• dealing with incoming post, fan mail and other general office admin.

This would be a perfect opportunity for someone looking to take their first step in the business and learn more. Prior relevant experience would be welcomed but is not essential.
