Junior Agent – Commercials and Music Videos Department

We are looking for a junior agent to join the Commercials & Music Videos department to support the existing Senior Agent in representing the clients and all that it entails.

Echo Artists is a dynamic talent agency representing Production Designers, Directors of Photography, Costume Designers, Editors and Hair and Make-Up Designers in Film, Television, Commercials and Music Videos. As a company, we pride ourselves on being passionate about Film & Advertising craft and the brilliant stories that stem from a wonderfully talented collaborative team who are often overlooked. We love being creatively and logistically involved in the projects that our clients make and are passionate about facilitating new collaborations and helping our clients get work on original projects whilst giving them advice and negotiating their fees as best as possible. The right candidate will have some experience working in Commercials or Music Video Production or is an existing Agent’s Assistant looking for a new challenge and a chance to grow in their career. We are looking for someone who loves working with people and as part of a tight-knit team, has excellent communication skills, an amazing attention to detail and thrives under pressure. Someone who will have the confidence to fight for what they think is right, has an opinion, wants to help nurture and protect our clients, is proactive and thinks ahead, wants to help change careers, has an amazing ability to listen and is patient, creative and loves being involved in interesting projects.

You could be someone who has worked in the Advertising industry at an Advertising Agency or Production Company, or in Film & TV but know that you want to be at the hub of production and exciting international advertising campaigns. You could be an Assistant at another agency who wants to step across to work with below the line talent, or an experienced Production Assistant/Production Manager looking for a new challenge and the chance to grow within an exciting and supportive Agency and work towards becoming a fully-fledged agent.

Responsibilities include:

• Submitting Clients for new Commercials & Music Videos projects.
• Negotiating Deals as directed and sending relevant deal memos
• Always be on the lookout for new and exciting talent
• Communicating and keeping in touch with clients regularly and being responsible and active in client’s diary management and career strategies.
• Communicating with, and setting up meetings with, Producers and Production Companies regularly to make sure the Company and the clients are aware of what projects are happening and have happened.
• Watching client work and keeping up to date with new commercials and music videos
• Existing knowledge of the commercials and music videos industry, including knowledge of the best Directors and Production Companies would be ideal, but can also be taught over time.
• A working knowledge of the APA Recommended Crew Terms is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, strong sense of organisation and attention to detail are essential.
• Be trustworthy when handling sensitive or confidential information relating to upcoming campaigns.
• Attend Advertising and Music Video awards ceremonies and international festivals with other Commercial Agents or Film & TV Agents, representing the clients and company and building relationships with production contacts within the industry.

• The role is based in the Echo Office in Bethnal Green (East London)
• Hours will be 9:30 AM to 6 PM with 1 hour lunch break, however there will be some times where hours may be longer than this, including attending awards events, some international festivals, occasional evening meetings/screenings for clients.
• Experience of Macs essential along with Word, Outlook and Excel
• Remuneration commensurate with experience.
• Some travel to film festivals required (Cannes Lions, Camerimage)
• There is a share of the profits of the company
• 5 weeks of holiday plus public holidays

AGENTS’ ASSISTANT

With the continuing success of the Agency side of our business we are now looking for someone to help us to expand in this area. Our new Assistant will be equally happy about working with actors and creatives. They will already have experience of working in an agency. They will be an enthusiast.

The Production Exchange Management works across the whole range of arts and entertainment media and forms an integral part of The Production Exchange – a registered charity set up to support, mentor and offer opportunity to early career professionals in the industry.

This aspiration permeates the whole of the organisation and thus we believe this post to be entirely suitable for someone who will be ready in time to make the leap from being an Assistant to being a fully fledged agent.

Assistant to Agent, TFTV Department

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

We are looking for an assistant to support the office of a senior agent in our TFTV department, Jess Cooper.

The core of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the agent’s office through effective organisation and exceptional client care. Promotion of the clients’ work, seeking out new opportunities for them both here in the UK and internationally, and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does, so the successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive knowledge of each of the client’s work and each client’s specific individual requirements.

The successful candidate will be proactive, confident and show initiative. The role requires someone who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; exceptional organisational skills; a keen eye for detail and accuracy; the ability to prioritise and someone who is resilient and adaptable – they will frequently be working under pressure and with interruptions and for an agent who is working across different time zones and both in the office and remotely.

You will be able to keep calm and focused. You will be a team player who is willing to share information, ideas and any industry contacts they have and continue to make. You will have a good knowledge of and demonstrable passion for the broader film, TV and theatre landscape.

Full-time Receptionist (Maternity Cover)

We’re currently recruiting for a full-time Receptionist to join our front of house team as maternity cover. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on a busy Reception and enjoy the pressures of doing so.

Junior Agent Commercials Department

This is not an entry level position, we will be looking for someone who has knowledge, experience and a keen interest in the commercials business.

You will be supporting one of the senior agents in the representation of their clients. On a day to day basis this will require taking and making calls and handling emails to and from Commercials Companies. This is a fast-paced job, requiring you to deal with a large quantity of calls and information that needs to be processed quickly and accurately. Clients for this role include Cinematographers, Production Designers, Costume Designers, Hair and Make Up Designers and Editors.

The following is required:
● A professional manner and the ability to comfortably liaise with agency clients, companies, producers and other business clients. Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
● Experience within the commercials industry preferred.
● An awareness of complimentary industries required eg. Film and television, publishing and gaming.
● An ability to work on your own initiative, seeking out opportunities to place clients.
● Understanding of the clients work in order to accurately recommend them for commercial projects suited to their skill set.
● A strong understanding of admin. The role requires someone who is good with diary management, research and dealing with computer systems. Basic level booking skills will be necessary.
● The candidate must be experienced in using the main applications of Microsoft Office. There will be a fair bit of digital asset and website management. The chosen person should be comfortable with using and downloading various types of media. They need to have an eye for emerging technologies and platforms, and an understanding of the varying social networks and how they are used in relation to company business.
● The ability to work within a small team.

Agent’s Assistant

Agents’ Assistant

CVH Management is a Theatrical Management Agency that has represented creatives for over 25 years.

We are currently looking for an Agents’ Assistant to join our team in West London.

The ideal candidate will have office experience in the theatre industry and/or related field, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritise tasks within a busy environment.

This is a perfect role for a highly organised individual with a keen interest in theatre. Experience in diary management and providing administrative support is essential. Working knowledge of AgentFile and social media platforms would be beneficial.

Agents’ Assistant/Development Executive

Tavistock Wood is a boutique talent and literary agency advising and representing actors, screenwriters, and directors across the film, television, and theatre industries. We also operate our own production label, Open Book Productions, through which we produce premium television content for BBC Studios. Tavistock Wood is a part of the Original Talent group.

We are looking for an assistant to support the two agents representing our list of screenwriters and directors, and to help co-ordinate the development of our in-house film and TV projects.

This entry-level role will suit someone with real interest in the industry who is hungry to learn more. Duties will vary and include: reading and reporting on scripts; assisting with the management of writer and director clients; searching for and helping identify potential new talent; answering phones, and providing general administrative support to the two agents in our literary department.

This full-time role requires someone who is very organised and has excellent communication skills. You must also have a high level of computer literacy, along with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Ours is a fast-paced office and we need someone who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will also need to use your initiative, employing tact and discretion when dealing with confidential matters. It would be useful but not essential if you have a literary-based degree.

Assistant

Gordon and French are looking for an assistant to add to a well established team. You will be primarily assisting the MD of the company.

We need a team member with previous agent assistant experience, who can take on more and add. You must be competent with agent file, contract administration, co ordinating diaries and have industry specific skills (ie ADR, radio, workshops etc). The role would be perfect for someone who has worked in an agency before and is looking to move and learn in a fast paced and collaborative agency.
