Receptionist

The Agency represents and manages writers and directors across film, TV and theatre, alongside book rights and children’s literature. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join us as the company Receptionist and with it the chance to work alongside a friendly, collaborative team and learn about the industry from an agent’s perspective. The receptionist coordinates the general administration of the office, helping us to deliver excellent client care which is the very core of what we do.

This is a full-time entry level role which requires a calm, considerate and organised multi-tasker with a passion for theatre, film & TV. We would welcome someone with a friendly and professional approach, and the ability to prioritise a varied workload with a strong eye for detail.

Reception Duties include:

• managing the telephone switch board
• running the meeting room diary
• welcoming visitors & setting up the meeting room with refreshments
• organising the post (incoming and outgoing),
• logging and tracking unsolicited submissions
• general office maintenance and errands (maintaining office supplies; organising couriers; printing scripts; organising travel; weekly fire alarm check)
• booking taxis and couriers in conjunction with company assistants.
• Contributing to our social media output
• Updating internal databases

Junior Agent

We are looking for an experienced Junior Agent to join our team. This is not an entry level position as you will be working independently as well as closely with two senior Agents and therefore must have proven experience in an Agency and a comprehensive understanding of how Film and TV Agents for Heads of Department work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to quickly step up into a Talent Agent role in a highly respected Agency.

The requirements for this position are:

You must be committed, motivated, organised and responsible.

A forensic eye for detail with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.

Excellent communication skills, (both written and verbal), when liaising with clients, companies and producers.

A strong understanding of the creative and physical production process of Film and TV drama and of the clients work – Producers, Line Producers, Production Designers, DP’s, 1st A/D’s, Costume Designers, Make-Up & Hair Designers, Editors, Production Sound Mixers, Script Supervisors. This is essential in order to accurately recommend the clients for projects suited to their skill set and experience.

The ability to work on your own initiative and be pro-active in researching and seeking out work opportunities for the clients.

Experience and discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.

Experience with administrative tasks such as invoicing and diary management.

An in-depth knowledge of the main applications of Microsoft Office.

Experience of working with Tagmin is preferable.

Social Media savvy with website management experience.

Up to date and fully familiar with the PACT/BECTU agreements for Film and TV.

Experienced with the on-line contracting systems like POP and ENGINE.

Experienced in reviewing contracts.

Calm under pressure and able to maintain your honed diplomatic skills at all times.

The ability to work cohesively as part of a small team.

A keen interest in the Film & TV industry, particularly behind the camera.

A great sense of humour!

Comfortable with dogs in the office from time to time.

Agent’s Assistant/Office Manager (Maternity Cover)

We are now actively looking for a very experienced Agent’s Assistant/Office Manager to look after and manage us whilst our lovely assistant goes on maternity leave.
Previous Agency and Film/TV production experience of not less than five years is preferable as we need someone who has a comprehensive understanding of how Agents and Film and Television Heads of Department work.
Applicants must be committed, motivated, responsible, pro-active, organized, able to prioritise, multi-task and have a meticulous eye for detail.
The job is admin heavy but varied and will include invoicing and monitoring client fees, updating website, management systems and clients c.v.’s, managing social media, answering the phone and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office.
So, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) a good working knowledge of Tagmin, the main applications of Microsoft Office and Social Media along with having a good memory are all a must.
You also need to be a good team player, be calm under pressure, have diplomacy skills, initiative AND a sense of humour!

Foreign Rights Assistant

United Agents is looking for a full-time assistant to join the Foreign Rights Team in the Books department of the Agency where they represent many prize-winning adult and children’s authors. The team consists of four Foreign Rights Agents, a Rights Executive and one other assistant. The two department assistants work closely with all the Rights Agents, providing general administrative support, including processing contracts, tax forms, raising invoices and preparing rights lists and other sales material. Previous experience would be helpful but isn’t necessary. This is a great entry-level opportunity for a career in the publishing industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be confident in handling a wide range of administrative tasks, and will enjoy being part of a busy team.

Actors’ Agent Assistant

We have two vacancies for Actors’ Agent Assistants.

One position is as second assistant, supporting the office of senior agent Grant Parsons, MD of our Talent Department.

The other post is as a first assistant working to support the office of one Actors’ Agent.

You must have at least six months’ experience of working in an office and it would be useful if you have previous experience of working in the creative industries, for example in a talent or casting agency.

Assistant to a Senior Agent

The Artists Partnership is looking for an Assistant to work for one of our Senior Agents across a substantial client list in our busy talent department. We are looking for someone experienced who can step straight into this role joining the team of a Senior Agent with an existing Assistant/Associate.

This role is perfect for someone who has worked in an agency before and is looking to step up and work in a high-volume agency amongst a highly collaborative and hard working team.

The ideal applicant will have at least three years experience in a talent agency and has the ambition to become an agent. A genuine interest in Film/TV/Theatre and previous experience in managing diaries, Tagmin, Spotlight and a passion for working with actors is a must!

Agent’s Assistant

We are looking for an assistant to join our team. Some experience of working in an agent’s office is required. We are a busy office and would expect someone to use their initiative and work at a fast pace. You will need to be organised and have a good telephone manner.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in the film, theatre and television world, and wants to immerse themselves in the industry.

Agent’s Assistant

We are actively looking for an agent’s assistant to join the team. Ideally you should have experience working in an agent’s office, should be able to work well as part of a team and be confident using your own initiative in a pressured environment. We are a busy office and it is imperative that you are able to remain focussed with an impeccable eye for detail.

You will share responsibility for the day-to-day running of the office, support the other agents and liaise with clients, directors, producers and casting directors. You will be expected to develop a thorough knowledge of the clients’ work and should already have a keen interest in the industry.

Experience using Macs and Tagmin is beneficial, as is a wicked sense of humour. This position has huge scope for growth for the right person.

Assistant to Agent – Theatre, Film & TV Department

We’re looking for an assistant to join our Theatre, Film and TV (TFTV) Department on a 12 month, full-time contract.

This position is a great way into the industry where you will discover how an agency works and learn agenting from the ground up. You will be supporting the office of a busy Agent working alongside their first assistant.

This role has two main focuses: firstly, theatre licencing,
theatre commissions and the publishing of plays; and secondly, general administration for the agent and their clients. The successful candidate will have a knowledge and love of theatre, be very well organised – and keen to
learn!

You will need good administrative skills and experience of working in an office, preferably within the media/arts industry. You’ll also need a confident phone manner, to be good at multi-tasking and also happy to work unsupervised where required, managing your own workload.
