Assistant to two Actors’ Agents

We are looking for an assistant to support two busy Agents in our Talent Department.

You will be providing dedicated client care to an impressive list of clients and working closely with the two agents you are supporting. This job requires excellent communication and administrative skills. You must be a clear and confident communicator; a good telephone manner is essential in this role.

You also need to be an efficient and organised multi-tasker. You should be happy to work unsupervised at times, prioritising tasks across a varied workload. You will be expected to quickly gain knowledge of the agents’ clients and their work by watching films, attending theatre, shows and screenings. We expect to you to have a passion for the industry – across film, theatre and television.

You must have at least six months’ experience of working in an office and it would be useful if you have previous experience of working in the creative industries, for example in a talent or casting agency.

Temps

Temps

We’re currently looking for experienced Temps to work across the company. The successful candidates will have :
• Experience of working in a talent agency, casting or production.
• An excellent working knowledge of film, television and theatre.
• A knowledge of existing Casting Directors.
• Understand the nuances of working directly with talent. Consequently, we’re actively looking at candidates who have experience of client facing work.
• Be computer literate and technically minded, together with a good knowledge of standard software packages.
• Be able to work quickly and accurately.
• Have a can-do attitude, enjoy being part of a team and able to think on their feet.
• An ability to multi-task and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively.

As many of our permanent members of staff originally started as Temps, we’re keen to develop on-going relationships and would be interested in hearing from those who perhaps are unable to Temp at present but may be interested in doing so in the future.

JUNIOR AGENT (COMMERCIALS)

You will be supporting one of the senior agents in the representation of their clients. On a day to day basis this will require taking and making calls and handling emails to and from Commercials Companies. This is a fast-paced job, requiring you to deal with a large quantity of calls and information that needs to be processed quickly and accurately. Clients for this role include Cinematographers, Production Designers, Costume Designers, Hair and Make Up Designers and Editors.

The following is required:
● A professional manner and the ability to comfortably liaise with agency clients, companies, producers and other business clients. Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
● Experience within the commercials industry preferred.
● An awareness of complimentary industries required eg. Film and television, publishing and gaming.
● An ability to work on your own initiative, seeking out opportunities to place clients.
● Understanding of the clients work in order to accurately recommend them for commercial projects suited to their skill set.
● A strong understanding of admin. The role requires someone who is good with diary management, research and dealing with computer systems. Basic level booking skills will be necessary.
● The candidate must be experienced in using the main applications of Microsoft Office. There will be a fair bit of digital asset and website management. The chosen person should be comfortable with using and downloading various types of media. They need to have an eye for emerging technologies and platforms, and an understanding of the varying social networks and how they are used in relation to company business.
● The ability to work within a small team.

This is not an entry level position, we will be looking for someone who has knowledge, experience and a keen interest in the commercials business.

Agents Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Agency Assistant to join the team here at Sharon Henry Management from mid-February. Please do let us know if you know of anyone suitable.

Full-time senior assistant

We are recruiting a full-time assistant to join The Agency and to work with senior partners.

Industry experience is preferred; assistant experience is essential. We are seeking someone who is well read, interested in writers particularly those writing for film and television and who has a passion for the industry.

The role will be working for two senior partner agents within the company, providing secretarial and assistant support. Responsibilities will include:

• Diary & call management and general PA duties
• Management of client submissions, meetings and contracts
• Responsibility for the invoicing and tracking of client contracts & payments
• Maintaining and initiating online records and systems
• Dealing with clients and producers on a daily basis

You will be responsible for meeting two agents’ general needs; meeting and greeting of guests, fielding company and client calls and any other general administrative tasks needed to ensure the smooth running of the offices.

The candidate would need exceptional organisational, written and verbal skills, a keen eye for detail, to be proficient in the use of MS Office and the aptitude to learn how to use our contract royalty management system and tracking processes.

JPA Young Performers

We are looking for a new team member to join our office based in High Wycombe. The role will primarily be working alongside our current agent looking after our Young Performers client list, so any previous experience of child performance licences and children working in the industry would be advantageous. We would ideally like previous experience within an Agency, with a good knowledge of Spotlight and casting directors. Excellent communication skills, confident phone manner, a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to learn are a must. First Assistant

Gordon and French are looking for an assistant to add to a well established team. We need someone who is looking for the next step and has previous agent assistant experience. You must be competent with agent file, contract administration, co ordinating diaries and have industry specific skills (ie ADR, radio, workshops etc). The role would be perfect for someone who has worked in an agency before and is looking to move and learn in a fast paced and collaborative agency. Common sense, clear thinking and a positive can-do attitude is a absolute must. Attention to detail, ability to use initiative and a good sense of humour also necessary. Agent’s Assistant (Theatre, Film, TV creatives)

We are looking for a new assistant to provide full time administrative and creative support for one of our Agents representing creatives, directors and writers working across theatre, film and TV and to support the wider literary and talent agency. The ideal candidate will be energetic, confident, enthusiastic and able to work both independently and as part of a small team. They will be highly engaged with the entertainment and media industry with a particular interest in theatre, film and TV. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be both unflappable and flexible, with an understanding of the importance of excellent client service. A clear head for money and numbers is also essential.

Job specification
• Administrative support to Agent in all aspects of their work.
• Scheduling meetings, appointments, reservations and bookings as and when required.
• Handling client and customer requests and enquiries
• Updating company website, records and systems
• Reading and evaluating scripts for TV, film and theatre
• Assisting with contracts and seeing them through to completion
• Invoicing and accounts processing

Skills

Senior Agent’s Assistant

Apollo Artist Management are looking for a Senior Agent’s Assistant to come on board & support the head of the company.

Contracts Manager

Do you have experience of drafting and negotiating publishing contracts? If so, there is an exciting opportunity at the Blake Friedmann Literary Agency – we are looking for a confident, energetic and well-organised Contracts Manager to start as soon possible in 2020. The Contracts Manager is responsible for drafting and tracking various forms of agreements across the Book Department, as well as advising agents and the rights team on contractual matters. Meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to multi-task and liaise with a variety of people are prerequisites, as you will be working closely with authors, agents, colleagues and publishing executives. If you are proactive, have a good track record of successful negotiations and thrive in a deadline-driven environment, this could be the role for you! A good working knowledge of international publishing contracts, including US contracts, digital rights and audio is essential.
